Apostle Kathern Thomas is founder and former Senior Pastor of Worshippers Interceding For Excellence Church, (an NAACP nominee). She was senior pastor from 2005 to 2020. W.I.F.E. Church is known for the powerful impact made by releasing leaders into the Kingdom of God who are currently apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers. Apostle Thomas flows in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. She is also the originator of the "Called To Be A D.I.V.A." Women's Conference which has empowered women to be divine, inspirational, victorious, and anointed for nearly two decades.
Apostle Thomas is founder of KT Leadership Academy. Her mission is to educate men and women on the principles of God in order to win souls for His Kingdom, change lives, heal hurts, and restore hope, Apostle Thomas is also a seasoned spiritual mentor called to birth ministries and develop leaders. She has served the Lord with faithfulness and joy for more than 45 years.
Apostle Thomas is a native of Chicago. She is a mother of two sons, Pastor Levalle Walker, and Torrey Small, an entrepreneur. She is also a grandmother of two amazing children, Tori and Austin.
Achievements and Recognitions
Apostle Thomas has appeared on various TV/radio stations, including Metro Cafe, WATC-TV-Atlanta Live, Gospel Touch, Friends & Neighbors, Atlanta's Praise 95.5, WYZE Radio, WAEC, Love 86 and "What's The 411?" with Sharon Kay in Nashville, Tennessee. She was also the executive producer and host of the radio program "Sharing The Truth".
Apostle Thomas' article, "Act Like A Lady, Think Like Jesus", was published in the Gospel Talk magazine. Additionally, she was featured on the cover of the magazine’s March 2011 issue. The
same publication also featured W.I.F.E. Church as the "Church of the Month.”
Dekalb County Commissioner, Lee May III, declared March 18 as Apostle Kathern Thomas Day. Apostle Thomas received several certificates from the Dekalb Board of Health in Georgia for her community service which included volunteer service at DeKalb Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, she received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" signed by President Barack Obama.
